Cognitive Hypnotherapy is Evidence Based 

Cog Hyp Therapy research was conducted by a team of QCHPA members, measuring outcomes that are standard in the NHS. It found that the effectiveness (71%) for treating anxiety and depression is greater than other talk therapies (like CBT (42%)) used in the NHS.

This approach is very different from traditional schools of Hypnotherapy. Practicioners draw on ideas from Evolutionary Psychology, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Theory and NLP, creating a modern idea of hypnosis as a framework for therapy. We do not advocate one approach as the answer to all of life’s problems. Instead, we introduce our students to a range of techniques drawn from different disciplines that have been found to be good tools for change. These are combined to find a tailored appraoch for each specific client.
